About Nigerian History Lesson Notes
Nigerian History is the study of how Nigeria and its peoples came to be, from early settlements and ancient centres such as Nok, Ife and Benin to independence and the republics that followed. In these notes it runs from Basic 1 to SS3, so a learner can follow the subject across every stage of school.
The notes cover the peoples and heroes of Lagos State, state creation and federal capitals, pre-colonial states and empires, the trans-Saharan trade, Islam and Christianity, European contact, the slave trade, British rule, amalgamation, nationalism, the civil war, and military and civilian governments.
