About Citizenship & Heritage Studies Lesson Notes
Citizenship and Heritage Studies teaches students what it means to belong to Nigeria and to the wider world. It looks at the rights and duties of citizens, national symbols, and the culture and history Nigerians have inherited.
The notes for SS1 to SS3 cover the rule of law, democratic values, the Nigerian Constitution, federalism, elections, human rights and corruption. They also cover the preservation of heritage, traditional institutions, colonial heritage, global citizenship, the Sustainable Development Goals, civic entrepreneurship and ethics. SS3 ends with SSCE preparation and life after school.

- Identify the effects of corruption and election malpractices on citizenship
