Topic: Nigerian Musical Instruments and Their Sounds

  1. Talking Drum (Dundun)

Sound: “Dun-dun-dun” – makes talking sounds like human speech

  1. Shekere

 

Sound: “Shake-shake-shake” – rattling sound when shaken

  1. Ogene (Metal Gong)

Sound: “Gong-gong-gong” – loud ringing sound

  1. Udu Pot

Sound: “Boom-boom” – deep hollow sound when hit

  1. Flute (Oja)

Sound: “Toot-toot” – soft blowing sound

  1. Ekwe (Wooden Drum)

Sound: “Knock-knock” – sharp wooden sound

Nigerian musicians use these instruments to tell stories and talk to each other through music!
