Introduction

Drawing is a fun way to show what we see around us. Today we will learn to draw things we find in our homes, schools, and neighborhoods. When we look carefully at objects, we can see their shapes and draw them on paper.

What Can We Draw?

We can draw many things we see every day. In our homes, we can draw 

• chairs,

•  tables, 

• Cups,

• and spoons. 

Outside, we can draw 

• houses, 

• cars, 

• trees, 

• and roads. 

At school, we can draw our 

• desks, 

• books, 

• pencils, 

• and the blackboard.

How to Start Drawing

First, we look at the object carefully. We notice its shape. Is it round like a ball? Is it long like a pencil? Is it tall like a house? Then we start with simple shapes. A house can start with a square and a triangle on top for the roof. A car can start with a rectangle and circles for wheels.

Drawing Tips

Always start with light lines. If you make a mistake, you can erase it easily. Draw what you see, not what you think it should look like. Take your time and enjoy drawing.

Class Exercises

Exercise 1: Draw a simple house. Start with a square for the walls, add a triangle for the roof, draw a rectangle for the door, and small squares for windows.

Exercise 2: Draw a chair from your classroom. Look at its legs, seat, and back. Start with simple lines and shapes.

Exercise 3: Draw a car. Begin with a rectangle for the body, add circles for wheels, and a smaller rectangle for windows.

Exercise 4: Choose any object in the classroom and draw it. It could be your pencil case, a book, or the dustbin.

Evaluation

Pupils will show their drawings to the class and explain what they drew. The teacher will check if pupils can identify basic shapes in their drawings.

Assignment

Draw three objects you can find at home. Bring your drawings to the next class to share with your classmates.
