Introduction
Hello children! Today we will learn about the amazing power of prayer. Just like electricity has power to make lights work, prayer has power to do wonderful things!

What is Power?
- Power is the ability to do something strong
- Power can make things happen
- Power can change situations
- God has all power, and He listens to our prayers
Bible Evidence of the Power of Prayer
- Elijah’s Prayer for Rain (1 Kings 18:42-45)
- There was no rain for three years
- Elijah prayed to God for rain
- God sent heavy rain after Elijah prayed
- Hannah’s Prayer for a Baby (1 Samuel 1:9-20)
- Hannah was sad because she had no children
- She prayed earnestly to God for a baby
- God gave her a son named Samuel
- Daniel’s Friends in the Fire (Daniel 3:16-28)
- Three men were thrown into a hot fire
- They prayed to God for help
- God protected them and they came out safe
- Jesus Raises Lazarus (John 11:41-44)
- Jesus prayed before raising His dead friend
- Lazarus came back to life
- This showed the power of prayer

- Moses – Prayed for the Israelite people
- David – Prayed when he was in trouble
- Elijah – Prayed for miracles to happen
- Daniel – Prayed three times every day
- Jesus – Prayed for strength and guidance
- Paul – Prayed for churches and people
- Peter – Prayed when he was in prison
Memory Verse
