The Story

One day, Jesus was talking to His disciples. They were worried because Jesus told them He was going away to prepare a place for them in heaven.

Thomas, one of the disciples, said to Jesus, “We don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Jesus gave them a very important answer. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Jesus was telling them that He is like a bridge between people and God the Father. Before Jesus came, people couldn’t get close to God because of their sins.

But Jesus came to earth to show us what God is like. He lived a perfect life without any sin. Then He died on the cross to take away our sins.

When we believe in Jesus and accept Him as our Saviour, He becomes our way to reach God the Father. It’s like He opens the door to heaven for us.

Jesus is the only way to God. There is no other person who can bring us to the Father. Only Jesus can forgive our sins and give us eternal life.

When we pray, we can talk to God the Father because Jesus made it possible. We often end our prayers by saying “In Jesus’ name” because He is our way to God.
