Topic: Süratul-Lahab (Q 111) vs 4-5

Let pupils recite verses 1-3 together:

  • تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
  • مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
  • سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

The Final Two Verses

Verse 4: وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ “Wa-imra’atuhu hammalata’l-hatab”

Verse 5: فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ “Fi jidiha hablun min masad”

Verse 4: “And his wife, the carrier of firewood”
