To Save Us from Sin

- Sin separates us from God’s holy presence
- We cannot save ourselves from sin
- We needed someone perfect to rescue us
What sin does:
- Makes us enemies of God

- Keeps us away from heaven
- Makes us deserve punishment
To Pay the Penalty for Our Sins

- Someone had to pay the price for our wrongdoing
- Jesus took our place and received our punishment
- His death satisfied God’s justice
Bible verse: “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)
To Give Us Eternal Life
