What We Will Learn Today
- What Jesus meant when He called us “light of the world”
- How light helps us in daily life
- How Christians should shine like light
The Story

Right after Jesus told His followers they were the “salt of the earth,” He said something else amazing: “You are the light of the world.”
Jesus also said, “Let your light shine before others, so they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Everyone knows how important light is. Let’s see what light does:
What Light Does:
- Shows the way – helps us see where to go
- Removes darkness – takes away scary, dark places
- Helps things grow – plants need light to live
- Brings warmth – makes us feel comfortable
- Can’t be hidden – light always shows itself
Jesus was teaching that Christians should be like light in a dark world.
How Christians Are Like Light:

- We help people find Jesus
- We teach others what is right
- We guide people to make good choices
- We remove darkness
- We fight against sin and evil

- We encourage people to be better
- We help others learn about God
- We support friends in difficult times

- We share God’s care with others
- We can’t be hidden
