🌍 Introduction to Paul in Europe
Paul was a great missionary who travelled to preach about Jesus Christ. One night, Paul had a dream where a man from Macedonia in Europe was begging him: “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” Paul knew this was a message from God, so he quickly sailed toward Philippi in Macedonia.
👩 The Story of Lydia’s Conversion (Acts 16:9–15)
When Paul and his friends arrived in Philippi, they looked for a place to pray. They found some women gathered by a riverside. Among them was a lady called Lydia.
Who was Lydia?
- A trader in purple cloth (a very expensive fabric in those days)
- A worshipper of God
What Happened?
- Paul preached to Lydia and the other women.
- God opened Lydia’s heart, and she believed Paul’s message.
- Lydia and her household were baptized.
- She invited Paul and his friends to stay at her house.

- She was the first recorded Christian convert in Europe.
- She helped Paul by giving him a place to stay.
