Introduction

After Adam and Eve sinned, all people became sinners. But God loved us so much that He made a plan to save us. This plan is called salvation.

Lesson Content

What is Salvation?

  • Salvation means to be saved or rescued
  • It means God saves us from our sins
  • It means being rescued from punishment for doing wrong
  • It means getting a new life with God
  • It’s like being pulled out of deep water when you can’t swim

The Problem That Needed Salvation:

  • When Adam and Eve sinned, sin came into the world
  • All people after them were born with sin
  • Sin separates us from God
  • The punishment for sin is death
  • People could not save themselves from sin

God’s Promise of Salvation (Genesis 3:15):

The First Promise:

  • Right after Adam and Eve sinned, God made a promise
  • God said to the serpent: “I will put hatred between you and the woman”
  • “Between your offspring and hers”
  • “He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel”
  • This meant someone from Eve’s family would defeat Satan

What This Promise Meant:

  • God would send someone special to save people
  • This person would be born from a woman
  • He would defeat Satan and sin
  • He would get hurt in the process (strike his heel)
  • But He would win completely (crush Satan’s head)

How God’s Promise Came True:

Throughout History:

  • God chose Abraham and promised to bless all nations through his family
  • God chose the nation of Israel to bring the Savior
  • God sent prophets to tell people about the coming Savior
  • The prophets said the Savior would be born of a virgin
  • They said He would die for people’s sins and rise again

Jesus is the Fulfillment:

  • Jesus is the special person God promised to send
  • Jesus was born of the virgin Mary
  • Jesus lived a perfect life without sin
  • Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins
  • Jesus rose from the dead, defeating Satan and death
  • Through Jesus, we can be saved from sin

The Importance of Salvation:

  1. It Saves Us from Sin:
  • We all do wrong things
  • Sin separates us from God
  • Salvation forgives our sins
  • We can have a clean heart before God
  1. It Gives Us Eternal Life:
  • Without salvation, we would die forever
  • With salvation, we live forever with God
  • Death is not the end for saved people
  • We will go to heaven when we die
  1. It Restores Our Relationship with God:
  • Sin broke our friendship with God
  • Salvation brings us back to God
  • We can talk to God through prayer
  • God becomes our loving Father
  1. It Gives Us Peace and Joy:
  • We don’t have to be afraid of punishment
  • We know God loves and forgives us
  • We have hope for the future
  • We can be happy even in hard times
  1. It Changes Our Lives:
  • Saved people want to do good things
  • We can live in a way that pleases God
  • We want to help others know about salvation
  • We become more loving and kind

How to Receive Salvation:

  • Believe that Jesus died for your sins
  • Say sorry to God for your sins
  • Ask Jesus to come into your heart
  • Trust Jesus as your Savior and Lord
