Learning Objectives: By the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to:

• locate and identify common plants in their school compound
• trace the leaves of plants on plasticine or clay
• examine the identified plants to describe their features
• group plants based on their features

Lesson Content: Common Plants in School:

• Trees (mango, coconut, neem)
• 
• • Shrubs (hibiscus, croton, bougainvillea)
  • Flowering plants (sunflower, marigold, rose)

  Plant Features:

  • Leaf texture: Smooth, rough, waxy, fuzzy
  • Leaf shape: Round, oval, heart-shaped, long
  • Leaf size: Small, medium, large
  • Leaf color: Light green, dark green, variegated
