- Name uses of light
- Identify different colours
Introduction:
Look around you! Can you see things clearly? This is because we have light. Let us learn about light today.
Lesson Content:
What is Light Energy?

- Light is what helps us see things
- Light comes from the sun during the day
- Light also comes from lamps and torches
Uses of Light:
- To See: We need light to see people and things around us
- To Read: We use light to read books and write
- To Work: People need light to work and cook
- To Play: We play better when there is light
- To Grow: Plants need sunlight to grow big and strong
Colours We See:

- Red – like tomatoes and roses
- Blue – like the sky and water
- Yellow – like the sun and bananas
- Green – like leaves and grass
- White – like milk and clouds
- Black – like night and coal
Class Activity:
Show different coloured objects and let children name the colours.
