Introduction
Colours help us identify and describe things around us. Learning to match colours with objects helps us communicate better and understand our world.
Content Development
Basic Colours Review:
Primary Colours:
- RED: Like blood, roses, apples
- BLUE: Like sky, ocean, blueberries
- YELLOW: Like sun, bananas, lemons
Secondary Colours:
- GREEN: Like grass, leaves, frogs
- ORANGE: Like oranges, carrots, pumpkins
- PURPLE/VIOLET: Like grapes, eggplant, some flowers
Additional Basic Colours:
- BLACK: Like night, coal, ravens
- WHITE: Like snow, clouds, milk
- BROWN: Like tree bark, chocolate, soil
- PINK: Like some flowers, flamingos, cotton candy

- Fruits: Apple, strawberry, cherry, watermelon inside

BLUE Objects:

Activity 1: Object to Colour Match these objects to their usual colour:

Activity 2: Colour to Multiple Objects Find 3 objects for each colour:
- Red: Rose, fire truck, strawberry

Activity 3: Same Colour Groups Group these items by colour:
- Items: Apple, grass, sky, banana, rose, ocean, sun, leaf

Colour Matching Games:
Game 1: “I Spy Colours” “I spy with my little eye something that is red.” Students look around and find red objects.
