DETAILED LESSON CONTENT
NEW WORDS FOR THE WEEK
FEELING WORDS:
- happy – feeling good and cheerful (I am happy when I play with friends)

2. sad – feeling unhappy or down (The girl was sad when her toy broke)

3. angry – feeling mad or upset (The boy was angry when someone took his book)

4. excited – feeling very happy about something (I am excited about my birthday party)
5. tired – feeling like you need to rest (I am tired after running in the park)
6. scared – feeling afraid of something (The child was scared of the big dog)
SIZE WORDS:

- big – large in size (The elephant is a big animal)
- small – little in size (The ant is a small insect)
- tall – high from bottom to top (The giraffe is very tall)
- short – not tall, low height (My little sister is short)
- long – extending far in length (The snake is long)
- wide – broad from side to side (The river is wide)
TEMPERATURE WORDS:
- hot – very warm temperature (The sun is hot in summer)
- cold – low temperature, not warm (Ice cream is cold)
- warm – comfortable temperature, not too hot (The room is warm and cozy)
- cool – slightly cold but pleasant (The morning air is cool)
ACTION WORDS:
- run – move quickly with your legs (I run to catch the bus)
- walk – move at normal speed on foot (We walk to school every day)
- jump – push yourself up with your legs (Frogs can jump very high)
- sit – rest on a chair or surface (Please sit down quietly)
- stand – be on your feet upright (Stand up when the teacher comes)
- sleep – rest with your eyes closed (Babies sleep a lot)
WORD COMBINATION ACTIVITIES
Combining Descriptive Words:
- big + house = big house (The big house has many rooms)
- small + cat = small cat (The small cat fits in the box)
- hot + day = hot day (It’s a hot day, let’s drink water)
- cold + water = cold water (I drink cold water when I’m thirsty)
Combining Action Words:
- happy + jump = The happy child likes to jump
- tired + sleep = When you are tired, you should sleep
- scared + run = The scared rabbit will run away
- excited + clap = The excited children clap their hands
