Introduction

Three-letter words are some of the most important words in English. They are short, easy to learn, and help us read and write better.

What are Three-Letter Words? Three-letter words have exactly three letters: a beginning sound, a middle sound (usually a vowel), and an ending sound.

Pattern: Consonant + Vowel + Consonant (CVC)

Three-Letter Words with ‘a’ in the middle:

bat – b + a + t (flying animal)
