What is Time?

Time tells us when things happen and how long they take.

• Stopwatch – measures how long things take

Units of Time

• Second – very short time (count 1, 2, 3)
• Minute – 60 seconds
• Hour – 60 minutes
• Day – 24 hours

Activities and Time

• Brushing teeth – 2 minutes
• Eating lunch – 30 minutes
• Sleeping – 8 hours
• School day – 6 hours
