How We Use Water Every Day

Water is very important in our daily life. We use it for many different things at home, school, and everywhere.

Uses of Water at Home

For Our Body:

• Drinking when we are thirsty
• Brushing our teeth in the morning and night
• Taking our bath to keep clean
• Washing our hands before eating

For Cleaning:

• Washing our clothes to make them clean
• Cleaning plates and cups after eating
• Mopping the floor
• Washing fruits and vegetables

For Cooking:

• Making rice and beans
• Cooking soup and stew
• Making tea and other drinks
• Boiling food to make it soft

Uses of Water at School

In the Classroom:

• Drinking water when we are thirsty
• Washing our hands after playing
• Cleaning the blackboard
• Watering plants in the school garden

In the Toilet:

• Flushing the toilet
• Washing our hands
• Keeping the toilet clean

Uses of Water for Plants and Animals

For Plants:

• Plants need water to grow big and strong
• Water helps flowers bloom
• Trees need water to give us fruits
• Grass needs water to stay green

For Animals:

• Animals drink water when thirsty
• Fish live in water
• Birds need water to drink and bath
• Pets need fresh water every day

Other Important Uses

For Transport:

• Boats and ships move on water
• People can swim in clean water
• Water helps move logs and wood

For Work:

• Farmers use water for their crops
• People wash cars with water
• Water helps make electricity
• Factories need water to work
