What is Technology?

Technology means tools and machines that help make our work easier.

Forms of Technology

Technology can be:

  • Simple – like a spoon or hammer
  • Advanced – like computers and phones

Examples of Underdeveloped Technology

These are simple, old tools people used long ago:

  • Stone tools – for cutting and hunting

  • Clay pots – for storing water and food

  • Wooden wheels – for moving heavy things

  • Fire – for cooking and light

  • Simple farming tools – hoe, cutlass

Characteristics of Underdeveloped Technology

  • Made from natural materials (wood, stone, clay)
  • Simple to use
  • Slow compared to modern tools
  • Manual work – uses human power
  • Basic functions only
