What is Light Energy?

Light energy is the brightness that helps us see things. Without light, everything would be dark.

Where Light Comes From

Natural Sources:

  • Sun – biggest source of light

  • Moon – reflects sun’s light

Stars – twinkle in the sky

  • Fire – flames give light

Man-made Sources:

  • Electric bulb

  • Torch light

  • Candle

  • Phone flashlight

Uses of Light Energy

  • Helps us see during the day
  • Read books and write
  • Cook food safely
  • Take photographs
  • Grow plants (they need sunlight)
