  • Name members of an extended family
  • Tell the difference between nuclear and extended family

LESSON CONTENT

What is an Extended Family?

An Extended Family is a big family.

It has more people than a nuclear family.

Members of an Extended Family:

Nuclear family members:

  • Father (Daddy)
  • Mother (Mummy)
  • Children

Plus other relatives:

  • Grandfather (Grandpa)
  • Grandmother (Grandma)
  • Uncle
  • Aunty
  • Cousins
  • Brothers and Sisters of parents

All these people together make an EXTENDED FAMILY.

Remember:

  • Nuclear family = Small family (Father + Mother + Children)
  • Extended family = Big family (Father + Mother + Children + Other relatives)
