What is Social Studies?

Social Studies is the study of people and how they solve their problems in the place where they live.

We study:

• People in our family

• People in our school

• People in our community

• How they help each other
• How they solve problems together

Examples of How People Solve Problems:

• When it rains, we use umbrellas

• When we are hungry, we cook food

• When we are sick, we go to the hospital

• When children need to learn, they go to school
