Learning Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Mention and explain at least five types of values that promote peace
  2. Explain types of national values that promote peace
  3. Demonstrate these values in daily life

Lesson Content:

  1. HONESTY Meaning: Being truthful, sincere, and straightforward in words and actions.

How Honesty Promotes Peace:

  • Builds trust between people
  • Reduces conflicts caused by lies
  • Creates honest relationships
  • Prevents misunderstandings
  • Makes people reliable

Examples of Honesty:

  • Telling the truth even when it’s difficult
  • Returning lost items to their owners
  • Admitting mistakes instead of lying
  • Being sincere in friendships
  • Keeping promises made to others
  1. TOLERANCE Meaning: Accepting and respecting people who are different from you in religion, tribe, culture, or opinion.

How Tolerance Promotes Peace:

  • Reduces religious and ethnic conflicts
  • Encourages unity in diversity
  • Promotes understanding between groups
  • Prevents discrimination and hatred
  • Creates harmonious communities

Examples of Tolerance:

  • Playing with children from different tribes
  • Respecting other people’s religious beliefs
  • Accepting different cultural practices
  • Listening to opposing viewpoints
  • Not fighting because of differences
  1. RESPECT Meaning: Showing regard, consideration, and appreciation for others and their rights.

How Respect Promotes Peace:
