Our Body Can Move

Different parts of our body can bend and move:

Types of Body Movements

  • Arms – swing, bend at elbow

  • Legs – kick, bend at knee

  • Head – turn left and right, nod up and down

  • Fingers—bend and stretch

  • Waist – twist and bend

Why We Move

  • To stay healthy and strong
  • To play games and sports
  • To do daily activities

Exercise 3: Do these movements:

  1. Touch your toes (bend waist)
  2. Swing your arms in circles
  3. March on the spot (lift legs)
  4. Turn your head left and right
  5. Clap your hands 10 times

 

HOMEWORK

  1. Do 5 different body movements before bed each day
