Topic: Movement of Our Body Parts

Our Body Can Move!

Our body has many parts that can move in different ways.

Body Parts That Move

Head:

• Turn left and right
• Nod up and down

Arms:

• Swing up and down
• Move side to side
• Bend at the elbow

Legs:

• Walk and run

• Jump up

• Bend at the knee

Hands and Feet:

• Clap hands

• Stamp feet

• Wiggle fingers and toes

Movement Activities

Let’s practice moving our body parts:

1. Head Movement: Turn your head left, then right
2. Arm Swings: Lift both arms up, then down
3. Leg Bends: Lift one leg, then the other
4. Whole Body: March in place

Class Exercise

1. Which body part do we use to walk?
2. Show me how you can move your arms.
3. What can you do with your hands?
