What Does Being Security Alert Mean? Being security alert means always paying attention to what is happening around you to stay safe. It means being careful and ready to act if something dangerous happens.
Necessary Skills Needed in Time of Danger:
- Observation Skills:
- Use your eyes to watch what is happening
- Notice when something is not normal
- Look around you always
- Listening Skills:
- Pay attention to sounds around you
- Listen when adults give safety instructions
- Hear warning signals
- Quick Thinking:
- Think fast when danger comes
- Remember what to do in emergencies
- Make good decisions quickly
- Communication Skills:
- Know how to call for help
- Remember important phone numbers
- Speak clearly when asking for help
Security Tips During Danger:
Before Danger Happens:
- Always stay close to adults you know
- Learn your home address and parents’ phone numbers
- Know where safe places are (police station, hospital)
