Lesson Content:

NAFDAC – National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control

Full Meaning: N – National A – Agency for F – Food and D – Drug A – Administration and C – Control

NAFDAC Uniform:

  • Usually wear regular clothes with NAFDAC identification
  • NAFDAC badge or ID card
  • Sometimes wear lab coats when testing
  • Official NAFDAC vehicles

NDLEA – National Drug Law Enforcement Agency

Full Meaning: N – National D – Drug L – Law E – Enforcement A – Agency

NDLEA Uniform:

  • Brown or khaki colored uniform
  • NDLEA badge on uniform
  • Cap with NDLEA logo
  • Official NDLEA vehicles (usually brown and white)

Functions of NAFDAC:

  1. Food Safety:
  • Make sure our food is safe to eat
  • Check that food is not spoiled
  • Test food for harmful chemicals
