Lesson Content:

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) The Nigeria Police is the main law enforcement agency in Nigeria. They are our friends who help keep us safe every day.

How to Identify Nigeria Police:

Police Uniform:

• Color: Blue shirt and blue or black trousers
• Badge: Police badge on the uniform
• Cap: Blue police cap with badge
• Name tag: Officer’s name on the uniform
• Rank: Stripes or stars showing their position

Police Equipment:

• Police vehicles (usually white and blue)
• Police stations
• Handcuffs
• Police radio
• Sometimes they carry guns (only trained officers)

Police Logo and Motto:

• Logo: Nigerian coat of arms with “POLICE” written
• Motto: “To Serve and Protect with Integrity”

Functions of the Nigeria Police:
