Lesson Content:

What is the Nigerian Prison Service? The Nigerian Prison Service is a government agency that takes care of prisons and prisoners. They keep bad people who have been caught and punished by the court in safe places called prisons.

Nigerian Prison Service Officer Identification:

Prison Officer Uniform:

  • Color: Brown khaki uniform
  • Badge: Nigerian Prison Service badge
  • Cap: Brown cap with prison service emblem
  • Name tag: Officer’s name on uniform
  • Equipment: Keys, handcuffs, radio
  • Boots: Black boots

Prison Service Logo:

  • Contains Nigerian coat of arms
  • Has “Nigerian Prison Service” written on it

Functions of the Nigerian Prison Service:
