Learning Objectives

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  2. Identify principal colors by name
  3. Recognize color similarities between objects
  4. Arrange objects based on color similarities
  5. Describe objects by mentioning their color

Content

Principal Colors

Primary: Red, Blue, Yellow Secondary: Green (blue + yellow), Orange (red + yellow), Purple (red + blue) Neutral: Black, White, Brown, Gray

Color Descriptions

  • Red apple – round, sweet, red fruit
  • Blue sky – vast, clear, blue space above
  • Yellow sun – bright, hot, yellow star
  • Green grass – soft, short, green plants

Grouping by Color

Red objects: apple, rose, fire truck, strawberry Blue objects: sky, ocean, blueberry, jeans Yellow objects: sun, banana, lemon, corn

Describing Objects

“The red apple is round and sweet. The blue car is fast and shiny. The yellow flower is bright and beautiful.”

Exercise

  1. Group 10 objects by color
  2. Describe 3 objects using color words
  3. Find objects of the same color in the classroom
