Features of CPU (Central Processing Unit):

What is a CPU? CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. It is the “brain” of the computer that makes everything work.

External Features of CPU:

Ports (Connection Points):

• USB Ports: For connecting mouse, keyboard, flash drives
• Audio Ports: For connecting speakers and headphones
• Video Ports: For connecting monitor/screen
• Network Port: For internet cable connection
• Power Port: Where power cable connects

Buttons:

• Power Button: Turns computer on and off
• Reset Button: Restarts computer if it freezes
• LED Lights: Show when computer is working

Other External Features:

• Fan Vents: Let hot air out to keep computer cool
• CD/DVD Drive: For reading discs (some computers)
• Memory Card Slots: For camera cards
• Microphone Port: For recording sound

Functions of CPU Features:
