Learning Objectives: By the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to:

  • recall topics learned in Basic Science 1
  • Identify living and non-living things
  • name parts of the body

Lesson Content:

Review of Basic 1 Topics:

Living and Non-Living Things:

  • Living things: Animals, plants, people (they grow, move, eat, breathe)
  • Non-living things: Stones, chairs, books, toys (they don’t grow or move by themselves)

Parts of the Body:

  • Head: Contains eyes, nose, mouth, ears
  • Body: Chest, stomach, back
  • Arms: Help us carry and hold things
  • Legs: Help us walk and run

Our Environment:

  • Home: Where we live with our family
  • School: Where we learn and play
  • Community: Our neighborhood with shops, roads, and people

Animals We Know:

  • Domestic animals: Dog, cat, goat, chicken
  • Wild animals: Lion, elephant, monkey, snake

Plants Around Us:

  • Trees: Mango tree, orange tree, coconut tree
  • Flowers: Rose, sunflower, hibiscus
  • Vegetables: Tomato, pepper, onions
