Introduction

Last term we learned a little about office security. This week, we will learn more about the precautions people take to stay safe at work. Even though you are not working yet, you might visit your parents’ offices or will work when you grow up.

Why do we need security precautions in offices?

  • Thieves might target offices
  • Fire can spread quickly in buildings
  • Workers need to feel safe

What are the important office security precautions?

1. Access control (controlling who enters)

ID cards and badges

  • Every worker should have an ID card with their photo
