Dear Amina,

I hope you are fine and enjoying good health. I am writing to tell you about my wonderful Christmas holiday.

During the holidays, my family and I traveled to my grandmother’s village in Ogun State. The journey was exciting, and I saw many beautiful landscapes along the way. We spent two weeks there, and I had the opportunity to learn traditional farming methods from my grandfather.

I particularly enjoyed helping to harvest cocoa beans and learning how to prepare local dishes. My grandmother taught me how to make pounded yam the traditional way. I also made new friends with children in the village who showed me around and taught me some Yoruba songs.

The most memorable part was the New Year celebration. The whole community gathered for a festival where we watched traditional dances and ate delicious local food. I felt proud to be part of such a rich cultural heritage.

I returned home with many sweet memories and a better understanding of our traditions. I can’t wait to hear about your own holiday experiences.

Your friend, Kemi
