  • -ity: real → reality, formal → formality
  • -ment: merry → merriment, amaze → amazement
  • -dom: free → freedom, wise → wisdom

Examples:

  • dark → darkness
  • kind → kindness
  • bright → brightness
  • weak → weakness

  • bad → badness
  • thick → thickness
  • ill → illness
