The Purpose Why God Calls Us
God doesn’t call us without a reason. He has special purposes:
To Do His Work
- God needs people to help build His kingdom
- He wants us to serve in His church
- He calls us to spread the Gospel message
- Every person has a special job from God
To Be His Representatives
- We show God’s love to others
- We act like Jesus in our daily lives
- People see God through our good behavior
- We are God’s ambassadors on earth
To Help Others
- God calls us to care for the poor and needy
- We help sick people get better
- We comfort those who are sad or lonely
- We teach people who don’t know about God
To Build His Church
- Some are called to be pastors
- Others are called to be teachers or evangelists
- Some help with music and worship
- Everyone has a role in making the church strong
To Make the World Better
- God wants us to bring peace where there is fighting
- We should help make our communities safer
- We work to stop hunger and poverty
- We care for God’s creation and environment
To Glorify God
- Everything we do should honor God
- Our lives should make people praise God
- We use our talents to show God’s greatness
- We live to make God famous
Ways We Need to Respond to God’s Call
When God calls us, we should respond in these ways:
Listen Carefully
- Pay attention when God speaks through the Bible
- Listen during prayer time
- Be quiet so we can hear God’s voice
- Ask God to help us understand His message
Say “Yes” to God
- Accept God’s call with joy
- Don’t make excuses or complain
- Be willing to do what God asks
- Trust that God knows what’s best for us
Obey Immediately
- Don’t delay when God calls
- Start doing what God wants right away
- Follow God’s instructions step by step
- Don’t wait until we feel ready
Prepare Ourselves
- Study the Bible to know God better
- Pray regularly to stay close to God
- Learn new skills that will help us serve
- Ask other Christians to teach us
Have Faith
- Believe that God will help us succeed
- Trust God even when the task seems hard
- Remember that God is always with us
- Don’t be afraid of challenges
Stay Committed
- Don’t give up when things get difficult
- Keep serving God even when others don’t
- Be faithful in small things and big things
- Remember God’s call is for life, not just a short time

When we answer God’s call, we receive many blessings:

- We feel happy knowing we’re doing God’s will
- We have peace in our hearts
- We don’t worry about our future
- We feel satisfied and fulfilled
God’s Protection:
- God watches over us and keeps us safe
- He provides everything we need
- He helps us through difficult times

- Our faith becomes stronger

- We understand the Bible more

Helping People:
- Others receive help through our service
- People learn about God through us

Eternal Benefits
Rewards in Heaven:
- God will reward us for faithful service
- We will receive crowns in heaven

- Our good work continues after we die

- Our children learn to serve God too
- The world becomes better because we lived
Examples of People Who Answered God’s Call
- Moses – Led God’s people out of Egypt
- David – Became a great king who loved God
- Mary – Said yes to becoming Jesus’ mother
- Paul – Traveled to tell people about Jesus
- Samuel – Served as God’s prophet from childhood
How Children Can Answer God’s Call
Even as children, you can respond to God’s call by:
- Being kind to classmates
- Helping at home and school
- Sharing toys and food with others
- Praying for family and friends
- Learning Bible verses
- Singing worship songs
- Telling friends about Jesus

- God has a special purpose for your life
- You are never too young to serve God
- Answering God’s call brings great joy
