THE CONCEPT OF SOVEREIGNTY

The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary defines the word “Sovereign” as “highest power” without limit etc. When used about man, the meaning approximates total independence with absolute authority and supremacy.  In the religious context, which is our preoccupation here, sovereignty refers to God’s supremacy over the universe.  He has dominion over all things including man and total dependence is on him.

2. Summarise the first account of creation
