Introduction
Today we will learn more about how Jesus wants us to pray. He taught us to pray often and with the right heart.
Lesson Content
Praying All the Time (Constancy in Prayer)
- Jesus wants us to pray every day
- We should not give up praying
- We should keep praying even when we don’t get answers right away
- Like brushing our teeth daily, we should pray daily
Right Attitude for Prayer
- Be Humble: Don’t be proud when you pray
- Be Honest: Tell God the truth
- Be Thankful: Remember to say thank you
- Be Patient: Wait for God’s answer
- Be Respectful: Remember God is holy and great
Why Jesus Asked Us to Pray
- So we can talk to God anytime
- So we can get help when we need it
- So we can say thank you to God
- So we can ask God to help others
- So we can feel God’s love
- So we can become better people
Jesus’ Stories About Prayer
- The woman who kept asking the judge for help (she didn’t give up)
- The man who prayed humbly and the proud man (be humble)
