Topic: Deliverance From Egypt

What We Will Learn Today

  • How God saved the Israelites from Egypt
  • Why Moses was important
  • How God helps His people

The Story

Long ago, God’s people (called Israelites) lived in Egypt. The king of Egypt was mean to them and made them work very hard as slaves.

God chose a man named Moses to help His people. Moses went to the king and said, “Let my people go!” But the king said “No!”

God sent ten troubles to Egypt (called plagues). The last one was very serious, so the king finally said, “Go away!”

The Israelites left Egypt quickly. But the king changed his mind and chased them with his army.

When they reached the Red Sea, God did something amazing! He opened the water so the people could walk across on dry ground. When the Egyptian army tried to follow, the water came back and stopped them.

God saved His people! This shows us that God is powerful and He cares for His children.
