Sample Valedictory Speech:
“Farewell to Greenfield Primary School”
Good morning, distinguished guests, respected teachers, dear parents, and my beloved classmates.
I am Chioma Okafor, and I feel honored to speak on behalf of the Primary 6 graduating class of 2024. Today, we celebrate not just an ending, but a beautiful beginning.
Gratitude: First, I want to thank our wonderful teachers. Mrs. Bello, thank you for making Mathematics fun. Mr. Ade, your English lessons taught us to love reading. To all our teachers – you have been more than instructors; you have been mentors and friends.
To our parents and guardians, your love and support carried us through challenging times. You helped with homework, attended our programs, and believed in us when we doubted ourselves.
Memories: We will always remember our first day in Primary 1, feeling scared but excited. We remember Inter-house Sports competitions, Christmas carol services, and the joy of learning new things every day. These memories will stay with us forever.
Lessons Learned: Greenfield Primary School taught us more than subjects. We learned honesty, respect, hard work, and friendship. We learned that with determination, we can overcome any challenge.
Future Hopes: As we move to secondary school, we carry these values with us. Some of us dream of becoming doctors, teachers, engineers, or lawyers. Whatever path we choose, we will make Greenfield Primary School proud.
Closing: To my dear classmates, remember that friendship is a treasure. Stay in touch and support each other. To our junior students, work hard and enjoy every moment here.
Thank you, Greenfield Primary School, for shaping us into confident, capable young people. We leave with grateful hearts and bright hopes for the future.
May God bless us all. Thank you.
