Arabic Text with Pronunciation
Verse 1: قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Qul huwa Allahu ahad
Verse 2: اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
Allahu as-samad
Verse 3: لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
Lam yalid wa lam yulad
Verse 4: وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad
English Translation
Verse 1: Say: He is Allah, the One
Verse 2: Allah is Eternal and Absolute
Verse 3: He does not give birth, nor was He born
Verse 4: And there is nothing equal to Him
Simple Meaning
This surah teaches us:
- Allah is ONE – there is only one God
- Allah is ETERNAL – He has always existed
- Allah has no family – no parents or children
- Allah is UNIQUE – nothing is like Him
