What is a Toolbar?

The toolbar is a row of buttons at the top of Microsoft Word that helps you do different things with your document.
Important Toolbar Buttons
Formatting Buttons:
- Bold (B) – makes text thick and dark
- Italic (I) – makes text slanted
- Underline (U) – puts line under text
- Font size – makes letters bigger or smaller
File Buttons:
- New – creates a new document
- Open – opens an existing document
- Save – keeps your work safe
- Print – makes a paper copy
Editing Buttons:
- Cut – removes text (scissors icon)
- Copy – makes a copy of text
- Paste – puts copied text somewhere else
- Undo – takes back the last thing you did
Alignment Buttons:
- Left align – text starts from left side
- Center – text goes to the middle
- Right align – text starts from right side
