Computer Hardware

Hardware means the parts of a computer you can touch.

Input Devices (Things that PUT information IN)

• Keyboard – for typing letters and numbers

• Mouse – for clicking and pointing

• Microphone – for recording sound

• Camera – for taking pictures

Output Devices (Things that GIVE information OUT)

• Monitor/Screen – shows pictures and words

• Speakers – makes sounds and music

• Printer – prints on paper

• Headphones – for listening privately
