What is Mass?
Mass is how heavy something is. When we weigh things, we find their mass.
Tools for Measuring Mass
- Kitchen scale – for food items
- Bathroom scale – for people
- Balance scale – compares two things
Units of Mass
- Gram (g) – for light things like sugar
- Kilogram (kg) – for heavy things like a bag of rice
- 1 kilogram = 1000 grams
