Lesson Content:
What is Civic Education? Civic education is learning about how to be a good citizen in our community and country. It teaches us how to live peacefully with others and follow the rules.
Topics from Last Term (Revision):
- Being respectful to elders
- Helping others in our community
- Following school rules
- Being honest and truthful
- Taking care of our environment
Why Civic Education is Important:
- It teaches us good behavior
- It helps us know our rights and duties
- It makes us better citizens
- It helps us live peacefully with others
- It teaches us to respect our leaders and laws
Advantages of Civic Education:
- We learn to be responsible
- We become good children and students
- We know how to help our community
- We learn to solve problems peacefully
- We become better Nigerians
Class Activity:
Let pupils share what they remember from last term and discuss why it’s good to learn about being good citizens.
