Topic: Funding For Art Business
The fact that art materials, tools and equipment and the cost of renting an exhibition place are quite expensive. There is a need for the artist to source funds. The following are sources of raising funds by artists.
- Non-governmental organization
- Parents
- Relatives
- Individual personal savings
- Community
- Government
WAYS OF MARKETING ARTWORKS
- Through hawking.
- Through exhibition.
- Through advertisement of artworks on television media etc.
 Additionally, funds for artwork can be sourced in the following ways;
- Personal Sales: Artists can sell their artwork directly to friends, family, or patrons who appreciate their work. This can include selling pieces or accepting commissions.
- Crowdfunding: Artists can utilize crowdfunding platforms to gather small contributions from many people. This approach allows artists to present their projects and receive financial support from those interested.
- Financial Institutions: Artists may consider taking loans from banks or financial institutions to fund their art business, but they should be cautious about repayment terms.
- Giving Events or Workshops: Hosting art classes, workshops, or events where participants pay a fee can also generate funds.
- Sponsorships: Collaborating with businesses or organizations that are willing to sponsor art projects can provide necessary funding.
