Statistics is the study of the collection, presentation, and interpretation of data. Data presentation Ranking order: means from highest to the lowest or from lowest to highest e.g. 10, 9, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6, 6 are in ranking order. The rank is the arrangement of data in either ascending or descending order. A frequency table is a table that shows the number of times each value appears e.g marks 10 9 8 7 6 Frequency 1 1 3 2 2

PIE CHART To draw the pie chart the angle of the sector must be calculated Total number of students 18 A = 2/18 x 360/1 = 400 B = 4/18 x 360/1 = 80 C = 5/18 x 360/1 = 100 D = 4/18 x 360 = 80 E = 2/18 x 360 = 40 F = 1/18 x 360 = 20 With protractor draw the pie chart
