Topic: Writing: Simple Composition Structure

Three-Paragraph Composition Format:

  1. Introduction Paragraph:
  • Introduces the topic
  • Gets reader’s attention
  • States what you will write about
  1. Middle Paragraph:
  • Gives main details
  • Provides examples
  • Develops the story
  1. Conclusion Paragraph:
  • Summarizes main points
  • Gives final thoughts
  • Ends the composition

Sample Three-Paragraph Composition:

Topic: My Best Friend

Introduction: “Everyone needs a good friend in life. My best friend is called Amina, and she lives next door to me. She is the most caring and helpful person I know.”

Middle: “Amina and I do many things together. We walk to school every morning, play games during break time, and help each other with homework. When I was sick last month, she brought me notes from school and visited me every day.”

Conclusion: “Having a friend like Amina makes me very happy. She teaches me how to be kind and helpful to others. I am grateful to have such a wonderful best friend.”
