What are Synonyms? Synonyms are words that have the same or similar meanings.
Common Synonym Pairs:
Size:
- big = large, huge, enormous
- small = tiny, little, mini
Appearance:
- beautiful = pretty, lovely, attractive
- ugly = horrible, awful, hideous
Feelings:
- happy = joyful, cheerful, glad
- sad = unhappy, miserable, upset
Movement:
- fast = quick, speedy, rapid
- slow = sluggish, gradual, leisurely
