WHAT ARE RESPONSIBILITIES?

Responsibilities are duties or tasks that someone is expected to do. Examples of responsibilities can be:

1. Cleaning up your room every day
2. Doing your homework before watching TV
3. Taking care of a pet by feeding and walking it
4. Telling the truth when talking to others
5. Being polite and respectful to everyone

When we have responsibilities, it means we are in charge of something and we are expected to do it well. It’s important to take our responsibilities seriously and do our best to fulfill them.

WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF A CHILD IN RESPECT TO PERSONAL SECURITY?

1. Learning about safe and unsafe touch

Children should know what is appropriate and inappropriate touching, and how to say “no” if they feel uncomfortable.

2. Keeping personal information private

Children should understand the importance of not sharing personal information, such as their name, address, or phone number, with strangers online or in person.

3. Knowing their full name, address, and phone number

Children should be able to clearly communicate this personal information in case of emergency.

4. Being aware of their surroundings

Children should be aware of their surroundings and the people around them, and be able to identify potential dangers and escape routes.

5. Knowing what to do in an emergency

Children should be taught what to do in case of an emergency, such as calling 911 or finding a trusted adult to help them. They should also know how to use emergency services like fire alarms or first-aid kits.
